Three Ways To Benefit Your Awana Missionaries:

1. Gifts of Stock:

You can make a gift of securities to benefit your Awana Missionaries by wire transfer or mailing stock certificate(s). For more information, please click on the following link: Sharing Their Blessings with Awana - A Stock Story

2. Non-Cash Assets

Many people consider cars, boats, timeshares, jewelry, business inventory, real estate, and other non-cash type gifts to help us reach boys and girls, and their families too, for Christ. An estimated 90% of America's wealth is in non-cash assets, yet the vast majority of churches and ministries receive less than 10% of their gifts from these assets. Why? Because they're not equipped to accept non-cash gifts. Through our foundation we can accept them, and we will work with you to develop the best giving strategy for you and your family. If done properly, givers can avoid or reduce taxes and maximize giving. Simply click the website below to learn more. Select the appropriate non-cash asset on the left and then on the donations page choose the specific fund, "The U.S. Missionary Fund". Under the Brief Description type the Missionary’s name or account number. Please click on the following link: Creative Giving Solutions

3. Your IRA

If you are over age 70 1/2, you may annually gift any amount up to $100,000 of your IRA to your Awana Missionaries. It’s very easy to make the gift by directing your custodian to transfer a portion of your required minimum distribution directly to Awana. This gifting opportunity may expire after December 31, 2009. For more information simply click on the link: IRA Rollover Gifts

If you have any questions on these type of gifts, please feel free to contact Jeff Schacherer, Director of Financial & Estate Planning Services, Awana Clubs International, One East Bode Road, Streamwood, IL 60107. Cell: 847-846-6921

Keeping Great Leaders, and other ideas

So... You think working in Awana doesn't make a difference? Well that's what the enemy will tell us as we think about getting ready for Awana this fall. So let me tell you how God is working!

A group of fifth grade boys at church camp during cabin devotionals get into an in-depth Bible discussion and the youth pastor with them (nothing against youth pastors) is amazed at their depth in Bible knowledge and understanding; the boys have been in Awana since 3 years old!

A young lady in her early 20's gets baptized after a number of years of living the world's lies. She tells how the verses she memorized keep coming back to her as her walk with the Lord gets stronger; she went to Awana as a Cubbie and received her Citation Award as a high school senior. It's really easy to focus on all the bad the enemy puts around us, but God is in control and He is working everyday.

Your giving of your self, answering God's call to serve in Awana and lead others makes a difference for eternity! Did you get that? Eternity

In this throw away world we can make a difference in forever. Wow!!!!

Keep praying with us as we reach boys and girls for Christ!

Ministry Volunteers Make Things Happen

Our ministry team travels extensively through the upcoming months from church to church and between events. The Wherry and Talley families are your missionaries, but several people give a significant portion of their personal time to support our ministry in this region. Without valuable and experienced volunteers like them, the work we do would be impossible. When participating in Arkansas regional events, please let them know you appreciate the effort of our volunteer ministry team.

New Awana Resource Tool it is called ART!

Welcome to the 21st century! Sound like a sci-fi intro doesn't it; but it is true in this fast paced world we live in, Awana will soon launch a great web tool to allow us to better serve you and your church.

It's called ART which means Awana Resources & Tools. This tool will allow commanders and leaders of the local church access to an online data system of Awana. Commanders & leaders will now have the ability to update their profiles online, keeping records up to date and accurate. This will provide Awana the much needed ability to communicate with local church leaders at a more efficient level. They will also have the ability to enter and track their "Training Tracker" cources and credits, Commander College info and find BT info, as well.

More will be coming as we launch this new service. Be sure and check out the events page for the latest dates and locations of AwanaGames, Bible Quiz, Trainings, and whatever else you may need.
